When in 1791 Luigi Galvani (1737-1798) hanged dissected frog legs on his balcony, in an attempt to reveal the electrical nature of lightning’s, he could not imagine that he would trigger a many years controversy nor think that he was setting the seeds for the thinking about neurosciences.
